Is it morally permissable (I know it's illegal) to hit someone in the mouth for insulting you or your wife while they are drunk

Is it morally permissable (I know it's illegal) to hit someone in the mouth for insulting you or your wife while they are drunk You are less inhibited and feel indestructable when intoxicated so you dont care so much about the aftermath of your thoughts or opinions. Alcohol impairs your thinking so you will not think that it would be wrong or rude to say something. It relieves you of your inhibitions and your more likely to tell it like it is without giving it any thought . I've always heard this saying, " A drunk man speaks a sober man's mind". This might explain it. We say what we really think. it lowers their inhibitions LOL! I know how you feel as I happen to know someone who is a very mean drunk. This "Jekyll and Hyde" type behavior can be quite upsetting. I've been there. Honestly, I don't know what goes through their head - some people are just psychotic when they get drunk. It's best to simply detach yourself from these types of people.
