Why Don't Alcohol Bottles...?!

Question:

Why Don't Alcohol Bottles...?

Have nutrition facts on them?

Answers: LOL, I was wondering this very same thing today. I bought my first bottle of Sierra Nevada (I live in the same town that its made in...), and wondered how its different from other beers. Beers, and other alcohols, don't have any nutritional information on them at all. Why not? I have no clue. They must be exempt from labeling rules for some reason.

I'm sure it has something to do with beer bellys, but I'm not 100% sure. (LOL) Because some people might be too smashed to be able to read them. I guess because most people who drink out of em could care less about the nutrition factor of it. They're regulated by different agencies than the ones that regulate other foods. I don't know what state you live in, but there is a lot different about alcohol.

I live in Pennsylvania. Here, you can't buy alcohol in a supermarket. You can only buy wine and liquor in a state-owned liquor store. You can only buy cases of beer and kegs in a store that sells nothing but beer cases and kegs. And if you want to buy a six-pack of beer instead of a case you have to get it at a bar or restaurant that has a license to sell sixpacks.
