Recipe calls for 151 proof rum?

So, apparently rums are different.
Is 151 the dark color or the clear kind.

Any suggestions of name brands?

There is Biccardi 151, which is very strong.. Lordy, I had it straight a few times and yeah..needless to say it was a long night.
