What is the best book to learn about home brewing of beer?!

Question:

What is the best book to learn about home brewing of beer?

Answers:

I agree with Spacejohn77. Charlie has written a great book and has since updated it. He founded the American Homebrewers Association and Institute of Brewing-the association of professional craft brewers. His Brewers Publications has soooo many books on beer & brewing it make your head spin before you counsume a drop.
Other books by Dave Miller or Dr. Michael Lewis (my fav) he was my professor of brewing science at the Uni_CA @ Davis(yes, it does tend to be technical). On the technical but very easily readable side (just get this one) is the Anheuser-Busch Endowed Professor of Brewing @ UC Davis, Dr. Charles Bamforth's BEER:Tap into the Art and Science of brewing. ISBN 0-306-45797-0
If you really want to get involved and educate yourself Carl Forget wrote a great dictionary of brewing terms also Evaluationg Beer can help teach you how to judge a proper beer, i. e. it's adherence to style such as Pale Ale, Porter, Bock, etc.

Prost
