Is the drinking age (21) the same in all states? Or do some states have lower drinking ages?!

Question:

Is the drinking age (21) the same in all states? Or do some states have lower drinking ages?

Answers:

It's 21 in every state. Any state can lower the drinking age, but they run the risk of losing money from the Feds. The US govt. strongly encouraged every state to raise their legal drinking age by passing the National Minimum Drinking Age Act of 1984 to help lower drunk driving deaths. The law requires states to legislate and enforce a ban on drinking by those under age 21 or risk losing federal highway funds. So it's a de facto federal ban.
