Answers:

A very touchy subject. It seems like you have good integrity and are a good employee. I have managed many people and it is nice to have a good person working for you. If you really like your job I would have a heart to heart with the owner/boss. If you do this be prepared to have some upset people. Ask your boss to respect your desire to not rock the boat. It might be good for him to see for himself what is going on. Showing up unexpectedly, checking the books, or have a friend go in the bar and observe the employees by having a drink or two. This will take you out of the equation and your co-workers will not know it was you who tipped the boss off. If I were you I might even find a new job and get out of a hell hole where people are stealing. Never quit a job before you have another one lined up. Tell your new employer why you are leaving! They would love to have a employee who is honest. If you stay by telling your boss the truth you might even get a raise and or more responsibility. Just be careful. I hope this helps a little. I would like to know what you end up doing so if you have time let me know what you might do.
Good luck!
