Alaskan beer...?

theres this brewery down the street, i wonder if you've heard of it, or drank thier beers. Alaskan brewing company...

if so, how far are you from alaska? i was drinkin some sam adams the other day thinking "this stuff was a tiny little micro brewery recently, and now its a household name" i wonder if alaskan is on that track... if your unsure try the summer ale.

where is midnight sun brewing located?

Uh...not sure I'd want to live in Alaska, but you're damn lucky to live so close to such an accomplished brewery. Alaskan is one of the largest craft breweries in the US. I enjoy most of their beers, minus the new IPA. Their oatmeal stout is excellent and their smoked porter is amazing. Besides enjoying their beer, their website is full of great recipes for cooking with beer. I love the smoked porter brownies.

As for how far...I'm in Oregon, used to live in CA, but I know Alaskan ships to most of the US.

P.S. While you're in Alaska...try some of the beers from Midnight Sun Brewing. It's harder to get in the lower 48, but they're also very good.

Edit: Midnight Sun is in Anchorage, not Juneau. But you should be able to get their beers at good beer retailers.
