What happens if I drink at the beach in CA?
I am planning to go to the beach this weekend, like santamonica or venice. I was thinking about buying the heineken 5L keg and putting it in a cooler with ice and dispencing it into cups. I have done this before, but what are my risk if i get cought? Can the lifeguard or anybody look in my cooler? I drink responsabily and I am over age and so are my buddies. We will have a designated driver. Does any body have a beach they can suggest where I am at a lower risk?

It is illegal (sorry Karen). If the keg doesn't show and you use opaque cups it will probably work out. The cops really focus on obvious containers. Be discreet and have fun.
Try Manhattan Beach at around 8th Street. There is a restroom and it's close, but not on top of, the Pier area.
