Why is a beer a good way to kill a hangover?
I always go drinking and the next day have hangovers and my friends always tells me to drink a glass of beer. I hate the taste of beer and it was never my cup of tea. I am just wondering why?

It will "cure" a hangover briefly.
When you have a hangover, your liver is breaking down the alcohol and produces a chemical by product that makes you feel rough. Taking on board more alcohol stops this process and will make you feel better temporarily. The hangover will only be in the post however and will catch up with you later on. It's really bad for your liver as well and people who do this in the morning have an alcohol problem!
