Which gets you drunk faster: liquor shots straight or liquor mixed with soda?!

Question:

Which gets you drunk faster: liquor shots straight or liquor mixed with soda?

Thanks for your replies!

Answers:
If you drink both at the same time, the mixed drink with soda will get you drunk faster. Carbonation speeds up the absorption of alcohol into your bloodstream.

If it takes you a while to finish a mixed drink with soda, the liquor shots will get you drunk faster.

If you drink with an empty stomach, you will get drunk faster. Food slows down the absorption of alcohol into your bloodstream.

oh, definitely straight. :)

Liquor shots.

for me shots but varies

Liquor with soda, or anything carbonated. Carbonation opens the pyloric valve and dumps the alcohol into your system faster. Not eating will also keep this valve open as well as stress or anxiety. Sounds awful, but eating greasy foods keeps this valve closed and the alcohol will move into your system slower. Sounds goofy, but it is true.

Both drinks contain the same amount of alcohol, so they are the same. There are many factors that determine how quick you feel it, but your BAC will be the same after each of the drinks.

straights all the time :)

Liquor shots straight

Candy is dandy, but liquor is quicker!! Drink it straight to get drunk quicker

Actually, mixing liquor with soda will cause you to get drunk faster, but most people think that it's straight shots. The mixers cause it to enter the bloodstream faster. Obvioulsy, you can drink straight liquor faster, but if consumed at the same pace, liquor mixed with soda causes you to become intoxicated faster!

SHOTS

It does not matter its all about how much liquor you drink.
