Will drinking too much give you blackout?

I am not an alcoholic. This is the 3rd time of this year I had alcohol in my drink. I do not think I need to check in to a rehab clinic just for the experience I got last night. Thank you everyone.

wow, are any of you in this thread over the age of 15? black outs happen to many people. they're not a sign of a problem ... just simply that one drank an extremely large amount in a single night.

mr danger, you're probably the most naive out of anyone here when it comes to alcohol. its not like black outs are a side effect of being an alcoholic nor is it a potential sign of a future alcoholic. there are many factors to take into consideration.

also, i would, by no means, go check out into a rehab clinic simply from blacking out a couple times through college. the people that need to go to rehab clinics are those who drink to feel normal or drink on a constant basis to escape the problems in their life.

have fun, drink if you want to. enjoy your life and dont listen to any of these dolts on here. just know your limit and what you're capable of. if you get angry when you drink, then thats not good, however, many people just chill and take it easy. do whatever fits your personality.

Yeah that & alcohol poisoning....not a good idea. Just know your limits.....

o yeah

I was told it puts a shock on the body,it does and can effect the bodies electrolights,so as I was told drink water but slowly and if its hot as much as your body needs to feel quenched, please get a second oppinion,I heard this at my wholefoods store.BE WEll

Yup, I've done it once. It scared me enough to monitor my alcohol intake since!

It will make you black out and pass out. When I was younger and stupid..I don't remember how I drove home some nights. Very dangerous game to play.

Yes, drinking too much can cause you to pass out and forget what happened.

passing out and blacking out are 2 different things, booze affects every one different, please be careful

Yep! You blacked out.

yes

You have just entered the world of having a major drinking problem .
Most people that drink to extremes don't black out ; they pass out .
A black out means that you have done damage to your brain and while you can walk and talk and chew gum at the same time, because of your self inflicted brain damage you will remember none of it.
Despite being one of the great party animals of all time in my youth , I honestly didn't know what black outs were . None of my friends had ever experienced them and we thought that they were the exclusive milieu of old alky's.
We were wrong
I found out about blacks -outs when a really close young relative of mine became a serious alcoholic and experiences black-outs on regular basis.
I like the kid But I also know that if she continues this behavior she won't see 30 and there's not a damn thing I can do about it.
So as long as you have a brain that still works ,stop drinking and check yourself into re -hab.
Good luck
To the person below me: I have been legally drinking since I turned 18 in 1971.
In my time I have spilled more booze across a bar than you've ever consumed in your entire life.
Sadly I've also buried friends because of alcoholism and watched what once were beautiful women lose their beauty and get way too old way too fast
I know exactly what I'm talking about .
Jesse is an alcoholic plain and simple.
Jesse needs to get help ,plain and simple also.
I also know something else: If I'm going to make a mistake in judging the life of a person I will never know , my personal code of ethics demands that that mistake be made on the side of caution rather than the side of recklessness.
Capieche ?

ABSOLUTELY IT CAN. TRUST ME ON THIS.

Most people who drink will eventually pass out. But for people who make alcohol a regular part of their good times out, they can withstand more alcohol without passing out. A blackout occurs when someone continues to function but later will remember nothing of what happened. This is dangerous because a person can harm himself and others by driving. My cousin almost burned the house down because he kept dropping lit cigarettes on the couch. Last, some girls are raped at parties and remember nothing of it.
