Why are people counting how much beer you drink so closely? 6 pints of Guinness would be OK for me, and would be a slow night for the Irishmen Ive gone out drinking Guinness with. So no, I personally dont think its strange, unless you do it every single night of the week.

You probably get the funny looks because Guinness is a fairly heavy beer and some believe you should only have a couple. The good thing about GUinness is that it is one of the lowest calorie beers and has 4.0% alcohol, which is a little bit lower than most beers.
Each person can handle alcohol different than other people. Only you know if it is a lot or too much for you.
Personally, when I go out and have Guinness, 3 or at the most, four is my limit. And I'm a big guy that's been drinking a long time. Thing is, I stop drinking at that point, not because I am drunk or buzzing, It's because I just can't take another drink or bite of food. It fills me up.

You get funny looks because most Americans are stupid when it comes to beer.
Less alcohol and calories than 4 regular Buds. The lower alcohol also means your body absorbs it at a different rate, and it has less impact on your body.
Of course if you're talking about Guinness Foreign Stout instead of the US draught version.....then that's another story. :)
