Question:

it is my wedding reception i wanted no alcohol and my fiance' want at least a keg there will be a max of 30 people drinking anything at all

Answers:

I would advise against a keg. With ~30 people drinking, you could easily get 4-5 cases of bottles and be fine. My reasonsing is that A) people tend to lose track of how much they have had to drink with a keg. They take the approach of, "Hey, my cup is half empty and I am near the keg... Time for a refill!!" B) Keg beer does get people drunk faster (than bottles because of the higher carbonation which speeds the absorption of alcohol into the blood. And C) Having bottles means you can have a selection of beer that makes everyone happier. I suggest you go to a Sam's Club, Costco, or some large liquor retailer and you can get cases of bottles for a decent price. I had a keg party once, since then, I have done the bottles thing.
