Can i make pina-colada with bacardi 151?!

Question:

Can i make pina-colada with bacardi 151?

Will it taste ok? I want to try it because i cant seem to catch a buzz off all the other pina-coladas i have had.

Answers:
Sure, why not? That's part of the fun in making drinks, to veer away from the conventional and make something unique of your own. I make my pina-coladas with banana rum, because I love the banana taste....

Yes, but 151 stronger so be careful!!

I think it might taste good to you. Bacardi does have its unique taste.

HELL YEAH THAT WiLL BE GOOD..

yeah...i guess you can try it....U can add about what ever liqour you'd like. Pina Colada's aren't usually intented to get a buzz or anything it's more for the flavor and for refreshing purposes.

BUT

I think you should try "ur" usual pina colada mix and add 1.5oz of Malibu Coconut Rum and 2oz of Bacardi "O" & 1.5oz of Bacardi Coconut Rum. (It will make about 2servings)

It will def. have more of a kick than a regular Pina Colada....

Sure, made one for someone three days ago. Turned it brown and it tasted horrible. Why are you trying to get buzzed on a drink that fills you up after just one? Do shots!

You sure can and believe me you will get the buzz you were looking for.............have fun and enjoy

You can, but Bacardi 151 is best used for drinks like "Zombie" and flaming drinks. A lot of bar's will only make one "Zombie" per customer. So be careful with the 151.

You can make it and the sweetness of the pina colada mix will take the edge off the 151; you could always add coconut rum as well like San tropique or Parrot Bay just to take some of the flavor down. I would say that fruity drinks are the only way you can drink 151 and be excited about it because it is so harsh. You could also try strawberry daiquiris..you can't even taste it at all. Happy Drinking!

Yes. It'll be like a very strong pina-colada and the more concentrated alcohol may put a harsh edge on the colada.
In lieu of 151, try mixing a pina-colada with "enough" regular rum. One reason you can't get a buzz may be that there simply isn't enough of the good stuff in it.
Experiment. It's fun. You get to drink the mistakes AND the successes.
