I am 23. I live in a middle class house hold. I am in College. And I am Nota hillbilly/redneck. I'm no Connasaur.
But I like Wine at a discounted price at Kroger/Publix/Ingles (but never Wal-Mart).

Not a problem. Drink what you like. I would still recommend trying other wine too. You may be missing out on something you like better, you just don't know it yet.

No need to freak out! You're OK. Just drink what you what you want to drink. Some wineries are now using tetra-paks for their wines to satisfy the demand for eco-friendly packaging. At least you got your limits---no WalMart!
For around the house I like a good cheap wine I can drink and maybe throw into my food. I don't get the good stuff unless I'm out to eat and having some excellent good to go with the "good stuff."
Drinking wine inna box is nothing to be ashamed of unless the wine tastes really bad. Australia and South Africa make some excellent examples of these wines.
The same thing goes for the price of the wine as low price has little to do with the quality of the wine. I've had some damn good wines from Costco for around $10. And a nice wine inna box from Australia for a little more.
Nothing is wrong with you. Some wines, notably some reds, benefit from a period of time exposed to air, which is why red wines are often allowed to "breathe" for a period of time at room temperature. However, long term exposure to air causes detrimental effects, souring for example. I am not an expert and frankly, I can not tell the difference with a red wine which has been decanted properly or not. The advantage of a boxed wine is NOT being exposed to air, so it does not suffer the negative effects of exposure to air over a period of time. Go with what tastes good to you and forgive the snobs for their ignorance...

I'm just kidding. Nothing is "wrong" with wine in a box, just like there's nothing wrong with driving a primer Desoto. It gets you from point A to point B and doesn't put you in the poor house.
If you get curious, treat yourself and see if the extra price is worth it. Sometimes expensive wine is just expensive (Dom Perignon, for example, isn't worth the price). Other times, it's really, really yummy, and the different flavors and styles are fun to compare.
But that doesn't make one better than the other.
Unless they make you go blind. Then you got some bad wine.
For what it's worth, the best wine while in college is the stuff other people buy.
I'm 25 i have had wine in a box, there is nothing wrong with it. you do get more for the buck. i prefer wine in the bottle i think it's fresher for some reason, but i also finish the bottle or use the rest when i cook. really there is no difference.
Socially, there's nothing wrong with you or it. However, boxed wines have added sugars to make up for the quality of the wine, and to "stretch" it. This can cause bigger hangovers than from other wines.

Anyone that looks down on you for drinking what you lie is just a faux wine snob. ( I am not going to tell anyone here but I once had red wine with fish)
Pretty much nowadays, the enjoyment of wine goes beyond being snobby. You might even consider making your won some time. It is not difficult and after initial equipment, you cost is about 3-4 dollars a bottle.
Your tastes are fine. I like the box stuff too but usually make my own and give most of that away. ( I like the cough syrup sweet stuff more than anything actually)
