Question:

to avoid problems and have a sucessful shift ?

Answers:
As a bartender, I set up a speed rack, all stations have the same set up. Gin, Vodka, Whiskey, Rum, Tequila, vermouth and bitters. All stations have it in that order, so you can go to any station and know that gin is the first bottle in every station. Very efficient and fast for those busy busy nights! Good Luck!

We actually put vodka first, but the rest is the same.

The ice well has a shelf attatched with the well liquors. Kept cold by a square pan in the ice are the juice mixers (you don't want to set them right in the ice so the ice stays as clean as possible.) Glasses are high above for stemware and rocks glasses are to the right of the ice.

Slightly above and to the left of the ice well is the soda gun with the non-fruit mixers. Soda guns are fast and easy to use. A bar without them is poorly planned.

You'll also have to put in three/four sinks to clean your barware. We have four and the fourth is used for getting dirty glasses out of the bartenders way and catching the straws and leftover lemons and limes.

The space in front of your sinks is where you should keep all your call and premium liquors in a way that you find most convenient. We've found that we use more vodkas so we keep those to the right of the sinks and closest to our ice well.

Hope that helps, have fun!

Every bar is different. Therefore, stations can and should vary depending on the bar. The items used most should be the easiest and quickest to access.

Each and every bar has its own personality and should be adjusted depending on what the patrons drink.
