Has anyone suffered a hangover from WINE?

Ok, so last night I drank a lot of wine and I suffered the most horrible side effects. I have drank before, harder liquor like vodka and whisky and never even suffered a hangover. So I want to know, is it worse with lighter alcohol like wine or beer? Who has been through that and what were your symptoms?

I don't know the scientific reasons for it, but if I get a hangover from wine it does always seem to be worse. Hard alcohol seems to hit you like a ton of bricks and the hangovers are severe but short lasted. Beer you keep getting gradually more and more drunk, and the hangover seems to be dull and long lasting too. But wine is like a sneak attack. I drink and don't feel it, then when I wake up in the morning it's like it's been waiting for me all night and attacks. Definately hate the wine hangovers. (Not as bad as champagne though)
