Because rum is a pirates drink and you never saw an unhappy pirate whereas gin is an old spinsters drink taken to fog the memory of what might have been

rum is bad for my temper but gin and tonic makes me happy and smiley, gets everybody in different ways my friend..
rum is for when your out having fun. and gin is for when you want to sit and relax.
Rum is know to give an uplifting buzz because of the Sugar. not sure about Gin, i guess is must just have something in it that doesnt react well with your body.

my sister has the same thing she always ends up crying after a night on the Gin, its something to do with what its made from.
the reason for this is that rum make make you feel almost rummy. Gin on the other hand is for "guy in need", most people don't enjoy gin, long from the word grin, but rum doesn't that have a warm and fuzzy feeling?
