What's the best chill bar in Ann Arbor?!

Question:

What's the best chill bar in Ann Arbor?

Answers:

I really enjoy chilling at Dominick's near the Law School. Open only from March-November, this is a great place to sit in the back where you'll find a collection of picnic benches under the open sky, a gazebo, and a little fountain. Enjoy the homemade Sangria, a great strawberry-flavored daiquiri-like brew called "constant buzz", as well as the great thin-crust pizza.

For indoors chilling, I really like Ashley's on State Street. With over 60 beers on tap and more in bottles, this is a great place to sample beers, wines, or even whiskeys from around the world.

A block down the road, Red Hawk is another local bar/restaurant with cozy seating and a nice drink menu. It's a little pricier than Ashley's, so you lose some of the college crowd, which can be nice at times.

Looking for less of a college crowd? Try one of the local brew pubs in town. Arbor Brewing Company, Grizzly Peak, and Leopold's all have excellent beers and great atmospheres to chill and enjoy a drink and/or a meal.

Also, most of the locations mentioned above (except for Blind Pig) are most restaurants than bars, so I don't really regard them as places where I like to chill for a drink, but that's all personal taste, I guess. Also, Blind Pig has very little seating (it's all in the back) -- it's mainly a concert venue for local bands and such. Finally, the Irish bar on Main mentioned above is Connor O'Niels -- pretty decent in terms of an Irish bar (a little over priced, but most things are on Main Street).

Overall, there are so many great restaurants, bars, clubs, etc. in town that all you really need to do is take a stroll down Main, State, William, or another busy Ann Arbor street to find yourself a great old time chilling and enjoying the Ann Arbor scene.

Enjoy!
