Can miller be sued for calling miller lite a "true pilsner"?!

Question:

Can miller be sued for calling miller lite a "true pilsner"?

All macros lie about their beer, but thats ridiculous. Just because miller lite is a shade darker than bud light, doesn't make it a pilsner.

Answers:

Well, you can sue pretty much anyone for pretty much anything. However, something like this would just get thrown out of court.

Though the style of Pilsner has been codified by the BJCP, it is not a federally-protected style (unlike Bourbon) and therefore is subject ot interpretation. Even the BJCP allows for a certain amount of leeway beyond the published description.
