I was sick at the party last night?!

Question:

I was sick at the party last night?

Last night I was invited to an open-bar party at a fancy hotel.
I at first asked for a martini, and I ended up getting a glass with ice and only vodka (it seemed) with a lemon on top. LOL... the vodka was actually pretty good quality and I drank it, but I shouldn't have!

I hadn't eaten much either before coming, and there were only or-d'oeuvres, and then I had two glasses of a white wine I really enjoy.

Finally, near the middle-end of my second glass of wine, I started to really feel... dizzy and intoxicated!

I finished my glass, and slowly walked to the bathroom. And then I ended up staying there for the rest of the night :S I was sick and too dizzy to stand and I didn't want anyone to see me like that!

Oh I'm soooooo ashamed.

But this leads to my questions:

1) Had I eaten, do you think I would have just been really tipsy, and wouldn't have gotten sick?

2) Is there anything wrong with having liquor and then having wine after?

3) Do you really think I drank way way too much?

Obviously I did if I turned like that. I'm about 125 lbs, and I also usually have 1 drink every 1-2 days, like either a beer or a glass of wine in the evening.

Now surely I drank too much, but I'm surprised how badly sick that amount made me for the rest of the night!

I've sure learned my lesson!

Answers:

Mixing different types of alchohol is not a good idea.

The martini that is just ice and vodka is a very dry vodka martini on the rocks with a twist.

It is always a good idea to eat before you go out and do some drinking.

It may not have been the alchohol it could have been one to the horderves
