Beer taps, help?!

Question:

Beer taps, help?

Does anyone know how long the rubber gaskets last on a tap for a keg? Tapped a fresh 1 yesterday and still getting way too much foam. And my pressure is always the same on my regulator. Im thinking maybe the rubber gaskets are bad?

Answers:

I'm assuming that you are using a kegerator? Make sure that the temperature is at 38 degrees. If the temperature is fine, it might be an issue where you have a beer tower that is not insulated properly. Often the foam is caused by the actual tube going into the tower being a different temperature then the rest of the kegerator. Below is a link to the micromatic website, they have a lot of useful information that should be helpful.
