Why are beer bottles 341ml and beer cans 355ml?!


Question:

Why are beer bottles 341ml and beer cans 355ml?

Those are the sizes here in Canada anyways. I've always been curious why they are different.

I did some more digging as the answers here weren't cutting it for me. Turns out that 341ml is the 12 ounces in the UK measurement system, and 355ml is 12 ounces in the US measurement system. So know I know!

Maybve someone drunk too much beer when they decided on the sizes lol but they are a bit weird
