I quit drinking. Can I recover physicaly?!

Question:

I quit drinking. Can I recover physicaly?

I was a heavy drinker. I've been sober about 18 months.
Will my body ever recover physicaly?

Answers:
Hi, You are on the right track and should be proud of yourself. Yes your body can recover physically, but it will take a lot of hard work. If you could join a gym this would be great to start and you have all the equipment that you will need. Stick with it and you will make it. Ten points to you if i could give you the points.

Unless you are tottering on the very edge of life...sure you can, sure it will. But don't make your desire do all the work...Be active, practice good diet, positive thinking and action.
Hang in there.

Bad choice of words-those last three-under the circumstances. Please pardon.

A lot depends on your age, the amount of time you were drinking, and your physical condition now and when you were drinking.

A younger person in good condition who drank heavily for a few years will recover well in many instances. An older person in poor condition who drank heavily for decades will still recover to some extent, but not completely.

Visit a doctor you trust and he or she will do a complete examination and testing to ascertain how much damage was done to your system by the alcohol. Then they will know how much damage may be corrected by your sobriety, proper nutrition, exercise and time, and how much is permanent.

Kudos to you for your hard work and current sobriety. I don't know you, but I am proud of you.

Congratulations on your sobriety!

Yes, it will if you feed it properly. You have deprived it of many nutrients during your journey with alcohol.
You need to train it to eat correctly and when you give it the right nutrients it will respond, God made it that way.

Feel free to contact me and I will get you on the right path.
For one thing your liver needs some help.

Hope to hear from you,

what ever damage your liver has taken...there is no cure for a bad liver you can only hope someone will donate one if its already bad
