What is a good wine to have with a surf and turf meal?!

Question:

What is a good wine to have with a surf and turf meal?

Answers:

Why have just one? I'd have a chardonnay like Trefethen or Rombauer from California and a Bordeaux blend like Norman from California or a Rhone style blend such as GSM from Rosemount in Australia.

The buttery notes of chard combine well with lobster. The rich complexity of the reds make the "turf" blossom!

If you only want one wine, I would do a pinot noir Cloudline from Oregon or anything by Drouhin in Burgundy. The fruitiness of cloudline or the lean complexity of the Burgundy will work. You could also just do the chardonnay. The buttery/oaky traits work with filet, too.
