well i know that drinking dehydrates your body which causes you to get headaches and makes you feel graugy. Try drinking some water while you drink, it helps a lot for me.

I think its part of the dehydration, you need to get a nice large glass of ice water and start sipping on that immediately after you wake once your rehydrated the anxiety goes away.

Alcohol dehydrates you. Dehydration makes your pulse more rapid (because your heart is working harder to get blood to all your organs. Your rapid pulse makes you feel anxious.

Drink water!!!!!

My speculation: Partially dehydration, partially being essentially poisoned by alcohol and feeling out of balance, partially because of the rush of dopamine and serotonin (brain chemicals that make you feel happy) during drinking that drop back severely afterwards.
