Patron Tequila?!
Patron Tequila?
What do you drink it with?
Answers:
Liquor of this quality should NEVER be compromised by mixing it in a drink. Think of it as a perfectly cooked medium rare fillet Mignon being covered in A1 sauce or putting low grade 87 octane gasoline in a Porsche 911 Turbo. It's an unwritten rule in the book of things people should never do.
Learn to drink high grade tequila on its own. Appreciate the flavor that only comes from a painstakingly detailed distilling process. If the idea of a shot of Patron at room temperature is too unappealing try it chilled. Chilled Patron Silver goes down smooth and with little to not aftertaste. Take your time with it and understand this is what tequila is suppose to taste like.

Straight Margareta mix, Your favorite juice
I drink my tequila all on its own!
Most people will chase it with a lemon or lime wedge. I know some people that will use beer as a chaser.
If you're looking for food matchings, I feel that you can't go wrong with a deep fried portion of taquitos, especially if you have cheese and guacamole on the side.
Fruit juice. . .or you could go to their website, I'm sure you could mix it with anything you could mix regular Tequilla with.
most people that drink this fine Tequila, drink it in a straight shot.
Shoot it, with lime and salt. Of course!
Lime and salt. Better in a Margarita.
straight.. no salt no lime. It is smooth enough by it's self. I enjoy it with fish, or shrimp. It adds a nice flavor combination.
a shot glass and then kiss your girl, if you don't have a girl. then find one when that looks drunk when you get there and tell her its an experiment
just those two things
not fruit no salt.
Why drink Patron when you can have a much better tequila like Sauza Tres Generationes Plata (for drinking straight with no crutches - aka fruit and salt) or Sauza Hornitos- a very good reposado tequila that is MUCH less expensive than Patron and goes great in margaritas or tequila sunrises, etc.
BTW, no. I don't work for Sauza, but I am a bartender and have experimented quite a bit. :-)
Enjoy your tequila!
I agree with ejapaga.....you must learn how to enjoy tequila straight up...it's delicious. But if you think it's too strong then go ahead and add some squirt with lime & salt.
Try SANGRITA the traditional mexican chaser to tequila. Sip one than the other. It's really good. There are several recipes online.
Shoot it with a wedge of orange to follow up.
Patron Silver is the best...
A chilled shot glass. :)
That's really the only way. Anything else is sacrilege.
