Can you make better sangria than me?!

Question:

Can you make better sangria than me?

I drink beer and whiskey all winter long and come spring I dust off the wine bottles. One of my favorite way's to enjoy wine is in sangria. I have had plenty (cough) of sangria in my day and the recipies that I like the best are the ones that aren't all gunked up with random spice and hard to find fruit. I have a simple recipie that I think is the best around. Can you beat my recipie?
Glyphdoc Sangria
4 Valencia oranges
2 lemons
1/2c sugar
1/4c Grand Marnier
2 bottles of some cheap fruity red wine...I use Outback Chase Shiraz
A few dashes of Angostora Bitters (or better yet Peychaud's Bitters)

Add the wine to a pitcher
Add the sugar and GM
PEEL and slice 2 oranges and 1 lemon
Add the slices to the mix
Juice the remaining 2 oranges and 1 lemon
Add the juice to the mix
Add the bitters
Stir
Let this set overnight. Pour over ice in a highball glass and enjoy.

Let me know!

Answers:
i haven't tried yours, but i know mine is damn good! i find white sangrias especially refreshing on a summer day.

White Peach Sangria

1 bottle white wine (Spanish table wine)
3 ounces brandy
2 ounces triple sec
1 cup orange juice
1 cup pineapple juice
2 ounces simple syrup (equal parts sugar and water brought to a boil for 2 minutes in a small saucepan) and cooled (leftover syrup can be stored in a tightly sealed container in the refrigerator for 1 month)
3 ounces white peach puree (peel peaches, remove pit and puree in a blender with a small amount of water)
Fresh peaches, oranges, and apples sliced

Place all ingredients in a pitcher and stir to mix. Refrigerate at least 8 hours or up to 48 hours. Serve over ice.

Nope, I think you have it mastered.

Yours sounds pretty darned good.

If you want a little change, here's a recipe for White Sangria

1 Bottle of white wine
2/3 cup white sugar (amount of sugar varies with the dryness of the white)
3 oranges (sliced) 1 lemon (sliced)
1 lime (sliced)

I add a touch of Grand Marnier or Brandy as well sometimes.
Or I skip the lime and add sliced fresh peach instead.

Sounds great. You have all the great additions that really matter like the Grand Marnier. Also try Triple Sec.
Try some other great summer fruits like grapes and strawberries. People love to eat the fruit that has steeped all night.
I also add a couple of cinnamon sticks. Makes a big difference and adds a lovely aroma to the drink. If you don't have sticks available, I have emptied and tea bag and filled it with Cinnamon, stapled it and threw it in.
When serving try adding 1/3 of a cup of club soda to the glass first. Sangria can become very concentrated and this will lighten it up as well and make it go a little farther.
Enjoy!

Thats what i made last night :)

Your sounds much better though! I just improvised and used a white zinfindal (spelling?) oranges, lemons, and cherry brandy.

OK, your Sangria sounds good, but I have a great Sangria recipe which (sorry) I will only share with my kids when they are old enough. I keep it a secret so others can't copy it and claim it as their own.

Also, I never add oranges or lemons to a Sangria. They tend to make it citrusy (Sangria is suppose to be sweet not citrusy) and can change the color if left to sit overnight.

Oooooh Yes i do......
But i wont give you my Receipe's

We bow down to your bacchanalian expertise. My wife is in charge of Sangria in our house. I get to run the liquor cabinet...Single Malt, anyone?
