A 12 oz bottle of liquor that has 35% alcohol (70 proof) is equal to how many drinks?!

Question:

A 12 oz bottle of liquor that has 35% alcohol (70 proof) is equal to how many drinks?

the way i calculated it is, 12 oz/1.5 oz (shot glass) = 8 drinks. is this right?

Answers:

Missy is right, 1.5 oz is a drink and alcohol is usually 40%. But your liquor has only 35%, so you get roughly 7 drinks, not 9.
