Has anyone ever taken a T.I.P.S class?
what is it like? any tid bits of info? Was it fun, boring? is it a scam or something useful?
Answers:
It's just a class teaching you how to NOT let patrons get too drunk. They use the street light system.
Green : Sober, able to maintain control
Yellow : Caution, should be watched
Red : Drunk, they are a danger to themselves and maybe others and should NOT be allowed to proceed with drinking.
It's funny if you're watching the videos with friends and you're a'holes making fun of it. I mean, they have the worst actors in the films. It's very useful if you want a career in the restaurant field. And the certification stays with you no matter what other restaurant you go work for. Because that means there is one less person they have to pay for.
Just do it, then you can add to your resume that your are T.I.P.S. certified and it doesn't cost you any money.
