Is it legal to bring a bottle of wine to a park in nj??

im planning a picnic for my husband and i. i am 21 and he is 22. i want to surprise him to go on a picnic and i want to bring wine or something along those lines. i really dont know what is the best place to go on a picnic in nj or ny please help with any ideas...

I'm pretty sure it's federal law that drinking alcohol in public is illegal (that is...outside of bars, etc, or away from whatever you might call home). You might be safer going to a nice restaurant and asking them if you can bring your own wine...or if they have the wine you like in stock.

Oh, and, if you want to go on the picnic, Central Park, even though it can be crowded at times, is an amazing place in the evening for a picnic. And if you're dead-set on going on this picnic, try bringing an alternative to wine, such as sparkling grapejuice. It's kind of sugary, though...

Many public parks prohibit GLASS bottles.
Because the FOOLS have broken so many as to make them a hazard to the public going barefooted.
Also TOO many drunks have disturbed the families with outrageous fights and vulgar demonstrations..
