How long should I boil mettwurst in beer before it is finished ?


Answers:

Cook metts until the color changes in the middle. After you've done it a few times, you don't need to cut into the middle to see what they look like - you'll *know*.

I put brats or metts in a cast-iron skillet with about a little bit of liquid - maybe 3/8" of beer or water. When the liquid boils off, they start frying in their own fat. That browns them nicely.

Metts aren't common most places. Are you from Cincinnati? Instead of using beer, use Little Kings Creme Ale.
