How much sherry (19 percent alcohol) would make up a standard drink?!

Question:

How much sherry (19 percent alcohol) would make up a standard drink?

I like sherry a lot. We have many bottles that are anywhere from 16 to 20 percent alcohol.

How much sherry is a standard drink (a standard drink being equal to one once of 40% distilled spirits)

Any info would be helpfull
Thanks

Answers:
Well based on the model we're all taught in the service industry, every standard sized drink more or less contains the same amount of alcohol. 19% is more or less in the range of wine so a good rule of thumb would be a wine glass sized serving (about 5 oz). It's not scientific but it works for gauging if someone should be cut off. Again it effects everyone differently so don't use it as a sole method of gauging if you should drive or not. Better safe then sorry.

Do the math- if one ounce is the standard for 40% the it makes sence that two ounces of sherry at 20% would equal standard.

When I tended bar, one and one half ounce was considered a full serving of sherry or brandy.
