There's a term 'Chasing Down' (or something similar) in reference to drinking vodka.?!

Question:

There's a term 'Chasing Down' (or something similar) in reference to drinking vodka.?

It refers to drinking 2 different cocktails one after another. What is the exact phrase? What does the phrase mean?

Answers:

When drinking alcohol, one might use a "chaser" to wash down an initial portion of liquor. One would (generally) drink the harsher, or least desirable, shot of booze or alcoholic concoction, followed immediately by a more palatable (either alcohol or non-alcohol) liquid hoping to 'Kill the Taste'.
Common chasers with vodka are Orange and Cranberry juices, beer, and even Red Bull - making for one wide-awake drunk!!!
