What should be my first drink?
What should my first legal drink be??I turn 21 today. I am going out with some friends... I rather get something other than a beer or vodka shot.. like usual.

Jack and coke or a Tequila Sunrise these are good drinks.
I am a lover of rum, but it can make some sick. A rum and coke is quite a classic.
Mine was a Malibu Sunrise...someone mentioned a Tequila Sunrise.

Long Island tea, 7 n 7, or if you arent sure ask the bartender to make you their favorite drink. plain beer is always good too!

1oz white rum
1oz sweet vermouth
1oz dry vermouth
splash of maraschino cherry juice
shake and serve up (in a martini glass) with a twist
You should have a orange vodka, club soda with a splash of cranberry. (with some sort of citrus fruit on top).
It is great because it's not that sweet and you can't really taste the vodka in it. I don't like when drinks are too sweet, I think they are hard to drink- this one has a hint of the sweet taste so it doesn't overpower the drink. Enjoy!!

Try a Frozen Margarita... there are different flavors if you like salty. Frozen takes longer to drink.
A Long Island Ice Tea has many liquors in it but doesn't taste bad.
You might try a drink with Midori in it. It is a melon flavored liquor and ask the waiter or bartender for a suggestion.
You dont want anything that tastes too muchlike alchohol.
A glass of champagne is a good start to celebrate your ascent into adulthood!

1 tsp Apple Brandy (Calvados Morin)
.5 tsp grenadine (Rose’s)
1 tsp lemon juice

I had a chocolate martini, or if you prefer, the straight classic martini, full of alcohol of course. Remember to drink responsibly, and do not drink and drive. It's your 21st and it only happens once, so enjoy, but do so carefully! Happy drinking!

With mixed drinks (pop, fruit juice, etc.) the sugar in the mix, more than the alcohol, will make you ill if you are 'overserved'.

First off, please don't drive.
2nd, have fun. Drink whatever you want, but do it in moderation. If your not used to it, drinking alcohol can sneak up on you. So do it slowly.
I wouldn't try shots of any hard alcohol, Thats the high speed highway to worshiping the holy commode.

Beer, Whatever's on tap, your friends will recommend one.
Rum and coke.
Bourbon and coke (jack and coke)
Screwdriver (Orange juice and Vodka)
Tequila Sunrise (Orange juice and tequila, grenadine)
Vodka or Gin and Tonic (my fav's)
Manhattan.

btw, a friend of mine told me this when we were in college. He said if you drink 4 raw eggs before you go out drinking, and you don't throw up then, you won't throw up all night.
