Can unopened bottles of beer go bad?!

Question:

Can unopened bottles of beer go bad?

this beer has been sitting around for like a year, it's best before date was 2 months ago (at least the stella is)

Answers:
The beer is still good, but it will taste a bit more bitter. Should not be a problem at all. It is pasturized before being put in the bottle.

As long as it hasn't been exposed to heat or light it should be ok

Ya it can go bad.

Nothing is forever!

Open one up, smell and taste!

Bottles of beer usually are good for some time after the 'best used by' date. Try it - best way to find out.

yes, the most definately can go bad..

Yes, it can go bad. It might not make you sick, but it will taste funny, especially if it was going from cold to warm temperatures.

Send it to Bad Santa... He'll drink anything!

No should be ok. Best by dates don't mean the product will go bad. Means your beer might start losing bubbles, and is best drunk by use-by date.

I WANT TO MEET BAD SANTA,

yes depending on what the heat or cool is set at if they are kept in a cool place then they should have a very long shelf life as long as they werent cold then hot at one time, if you get them cool keep them that way they will last if you got the beer warm once you get it cold keep it cold or it turns in to skunk beer it wont hurt you but you probly will hate what it tasts like, yuck,

The beer can lose moisture after several years. I don't think you can detect the taste difference after 2 months. I have a 2 liter plastic bottle of Pepsi 8 years old and it 3/4 full. Bottled liquid can evaporate.

no

It may be “flat” which means the fuzz is gone. But “going bad” doubtful. It becomes beer after going bad (fermenting), chances of going further bad are doubtful. Also because of its alcohol content it should be sterile.

yes...beer does go bad.

it won't necessarily kill ya if you do drink it but it might give ya a tummy ache.

Yes. Exposure to high temperatures will make beer funky. If it's been refrigerated, and it's in a bottle, it's probably ok. There isn't a lot of oxygen in a bottle's head space to make funky stuff grow, but the high temperatures will cause proteins to break down and funkiness of flavor.
