Question concerning Liquor bought in Duty Free Shop.?

I am currently in Asia and will be coming back to the USA soon. I am currently 19 and here in Asia, the legal right to buy liquor is 19.

I was wondering if I bought liquor in duty free shop here in Asia, will I be able to get past immigration at the airport without any problems.


Answers:

Immigration officials don't really care, because they are concerned about your citizenship.

Customs is another matter.

When you claim your liquor, you will be sent to the resulting state (port of entry) to pay the taxes on it if you have over a certain amount with you. Depending on the state.

A customs agent can take it from you if you are underage.
