Im 16 and i got a bottle of tequila from my cousin on christmas and i dont drink plus i cant till im 21

once a spirit is bottled it's not going to change at all.
this is different from wine because it's distilled in a different way. wine can turn into vinegar and spoil much more easily with temperature changes.
tequila (or any spirit of that kind of alcohol content) is not going to go sour by the time you turn 21.
so call your cousin on your 21st birthday (it's a long way away, i know. but hey, if it's good tequila? it's worth it.) and share some tequila together.

Sure not,when you keep the wine longer than the wine automatically have a better taste.
It just gets better with age...
