i don't drink so I have no clue what this is even. But I need to know for a presentation in chemistry class. If you could provide info, websites i'd be grateful. thanks!

151 proof rum, also known as overproof rum, is usually dark, aromatic rum from Guyana and the West Indies that have been bottled at higher proof than usual rum.
Bacardi 151 is probably the best known brand. Overproof rum is not available in several countries because of its high alcohol content. Regular dark rum can be used instead.
Overproof rum is usually used floated, and sometimes ignited, on top of shots. It is also used in punches and high proof cocktails.
Warning: 151 proof rum is very potent and should not be drunk straight. Be extremely careful when using 151 proof rum for flaming drinks.

lol I used to drink that stuff. My hubby said it was like me drinking rocket fuel. It is 151 proof rum. The higher the proof on ANY alcohol the stronger it is and the higher the alcohol content. Its rum thats 151 proof which means about 75% alcohol. and a lot of flaming drinks are made with this. They lite is on fire to burn off some of the alcohol.

151 is ronrico rum if you don't drink don't start and don't recommend this to your friends that do wow what a kick and how sick can you be
