Best way(s) to enjoy really good dark rum?!


Question:

Best way(s) to enjoy really good dark rum?

Should I drink it straight up, on the rocks, or is there a mixed drink that will let me enjoy some premium rums I've recently purchased?

I have a bottle of Havana Club Anejo 7 Anos, a bottle of Flor de Cana 12 years, and a bottle of Havana Club Cuban Barrel Proof.


Answers:

First choice would be neat (straight up).
If you don't like it that way then go with on the rocks.
Still too strong? add a SMALL splash of water or club soda.

Those are all way too good to waste on cocktails. Use Bacardi gold or silver for those, that is what it was made for.
