I am watching my carbs. I heard that scotch was the best drink?!

Question:

I am watching my carbs. I heard that scotch was the best drink?

if you are watching carbs is that true? What about rum and diet coke?

Answers:
Hi, rum + diet coke is fine, in fact there used to be a Captain Morgan billboard on the highway on my way to work that said exactly what your question was. It had the bottle of rum and a plus sign and then the diet coke. And then it had an equal sign the said No Carbs. Enjoy!!!!
oooops- I take that back. It was a Bacardi billboard : )

stay away from all carbonated drinks including the diet cokes..etc. High grade scotch like dewars 12 or johnnie are perfectly fine with the low carb thing

Personally the smell of scotch is enough to make me never want it. Vodka sure is better.

Alcohol is no way to supplement a diet. Alcohol no matter what you call it is damaging to your health.

Pure alcohol, no mix, not wine or beer, real liquor. Rum, Vodlka, rye, scotch and whiskey. Nice huh?

If you look in the back of the south beach diet book it recommends that you drink any spirit and diet soda....the soda does not contain any carbs and the spirit is also free of carbs....this kind of drink is named a "skinny *****" because its its perfect for people watching their carbs. I'm not sure about all spirits but vodka rum gin and tequila contain 0 carbs unless they are some kind of fruity infusion like raz vodka...i don't know about thoes. Anyway i would also like to point out that a tomato contains like 8 to 15 grams of carbs...that equals the carbs in 3 to 5 miller lights. DRINK UP.
