You can find any cheap vodka for around that price, but if you can scrape up a few more bucks and get Kettle one or something like that if not get something good to mix it with re: you get what you pay for just don't get a $10 bottle of gin gross.
since the quality will be crap, get vodka so you can mix it with anything.
and hard liquor is no worse for you than beer or wine. keep things in perspective. its all the same type of ethyl alcohol. the quantity of alcohol consumed is what matters when considering your health, not the type of beverage you drank to consume it.
