Does Alcohol increase heart rate?!

Question:

Does Alcohol increase heart rate?

Like beer or wine coolers or liquor

Answers:
My gut was to say that since alcohol is a depressant, your heart rate would decrease. However, according to medicinenet.com, a study they did showed wine and beer caused the heart rate to increase 4-5 "points".

well all i know is that it makes you snore

Alcohol is a bi-phasic drug. In small doses it acts as a stimulant, thereby increasing the heart rate. In higher doses the heart rate slows. Personally though, my heart rate always picks up on my morning walk to the booze store.

yes beer an wine coolers an even liquor increase ur heart rate.

yes it does. Wine a little more than beer. and it actually lowers your body temperature. You know when you start getting a buzz you feel kinda hot? Thats heat escaping your body

Yes, but only a small amount. However Binge drinking (6 or more servings at one time) can lead to heart arrhythmia.
