Drink suggestions?!

Question:

Drink suggestions?

I am going to Ireland in a week and I am interested in trying some different kinds of beers and drinks. I am particularly found of sweeter, less bitter drinks. Do you have any suggestions?

Answers:
guiness or murphy's are nice, or you could try mackesons stout which is sweeter than guiness or murphys.

Black and Tan

GUINNESS.The national drink of Ireland.

yes,dont drink

this drink i made was really great; I call it an "explosion"
its tonic water and vodka with a little bit of malibu cocconut rum and fresh limes and add crushed ice.
its great.

Drink a Kilkenny, Guinness makes it. Also, if you order a Smithwicks (beer) pronounce it "Smithicks" leave the "w" out of it. Otherwise they'll know for sure you're an American tourist. Also, don't say "Slanti" (like saying "cheers") or whatever they say at Bennigans.. When we were there, nobody, but nobody said that. You'll look like an idiot. You will have to take the Guinness tour when in Dublin though, it's cool to drink a Guinness AT Guinness (like holy ground), and you get a cool wiget to take home with you.

Well I like Guinness, but you may find Murphy's a bit sweeter.

Try Guinness because it is made there... or MAGNERS irish cider...

have a good time!

Snake bite....half draught cider and half harp....it will blow ya away......dont have to many and enjoy your stay here....cead mile failte

A Hot Toddy ans a Smithwicks Beer

Try a red witch 1/2 of lager, 1/2 of sweet cider shot of pernod and a shot of black currant. It only takes twoand your well pissed and your breath smells nice even when you`ve been sick.

Tea...3 sugars!!!

guinness.

Magners Cider. Very nice with lots of ice. But you got to drink it before the ice melts otherwise no fun.

in the uk some pubs especially freehouses
will have a range of "guest beer or guest ales"
on tap, they are brewed locally and are generaly unheard of
but some are much better and tastier than the big name
drinks that pubs sell, and much cheaper too,ask the barstaff
in ireland if they have heard of guest beer or ales, they may do
something similar in eire -then drink your way through
all of them untill you find one you like -a very good time will be had trying this out for yourself,i assure you

ps:beer in ireland costs nearly twice as much as it does in the uk-even more reason to drink local brewed drink its cheaper

If you are going to Ireland you should drink as much Irish Whisky as possible. Remember there is a difference between Catholic Whisky and protestant Whisky. Jameson vs. Bushmills. But if you drink any of those please don;t mix them with anything. Sip them straight. As far as drinking sweet drinks you can do that in any crappy bar. Drink what the locals drink.

Go to many different pubs and ask the bartenders. They will guide you in the right direction.

You CAN try Guinness, but if you are relatively new to the world of alcohol it might be too heavy (It's kind of like drinking bread). I would suggest an Irish Car Bomb. It had Guinness, but it also has Bailey's Irish cream and...oh, something else sweet... to dilute the heavy beer flavor. But don't drink very many of them - mixing beer with creamy liquor won't be fun for long...

GUINNESS....?

Dont plan what you will drink on holiday, just go there and try what the locals are into. You will soon find something you like.

chocolate milk,any kind of fruit drink,sweet tea,orange juice,milk shakes,smoothies,any thing without alcohol.

Guinness shandy
