Pho, a Vietnamese soup, is the best for hangovers. It is usually quite large and consists of thinly sliced beef, rice noodles, onions, basil, and some other spices and a delicious broth. It really can help to "knock the hangover right out of you".

To prevent a hangover without losing the buzz, there's Chaser Pills, available at drug stores, that work somewhat well, but you have to remember to keep taking them while you are drinking which can be difficult...

Can't help you on the first question, (well, drink a lot of water to rehydrate yourself).and I really shouldn't on the second.....but, if you know you are going to be out enjoying a few drinks, take aspirin before hand. It thins the blood and lessens the effects of alcohol. And remember - drink water, water, water in between. You can still enjoy your "buzz" but not ruin the next day.

The best to drink is this European soda named Irn-Bru.

Drink lotsa water. And if you are hung over and you can eat without throwing up, just eat whatever you want to.

Drink plenty of water, take some multi-vitamins and go easy on the painkillers.

As for preventing a hangover, try these tips:

Mountain Dew and Hamburgers, if you don't want to be drunk the next day. If you plan on drinking the next day MORE ALCOHOL!!! "The Hair O'the Dog"
Before you pass out if you remember about 32oz. of water of Gatorade will prevent the next morning, don't worry about pain killers its just one more thing to remember when drunk, and you won't get the beniefts, and some of them don't mix well with fresh alcohol.

i noticed this through experience. I drink gin and tonic. If i go to a bar and order one, the bartender would give me a cheap gin like Gordon's Dry or Beefeater or worst, locally made gin. The next day i would definitely get hangovers. But after switching them to Bombay Sapphire London's Dry gin, i never get any hangovers. So perhaps u should look for a slightly pricey alcohol which wont give u any hangover the next day.
If u drink a certain type of beer, perhaps switching it would help and see if it worked.
But if u do get hangover still, try to drink lots of water to flush it off your system or have a cup of double espresso.
