What is the difference between whisky and scotch?!

Question:

What is the difference between whisky and scotch?

Answers:
whisky and whiskey are spirits made from distilled grain (usually barley malt).

traditionally the scots make their whisky by a continuous distillation process where the irish make their whiskey by the older single step distillation.

if a whisky is made in scotland it can be called 'scotch', the often smoother and more complex whiskeys made in ireland are called irish whiskey.

whiskies and whiskeys are also made in many other countries - particularly japan. some of these foreign whiskies are often very good, but connoisseurs will usually agree that scotland and ireland are the traditional homes of whisky / whiskey and are the safest places if you are looking for quallity.

they come from different countrys..thats the difference.

Whiskey comes from Ireland, and Scotch comes from Scotchland.

Whiskey is the generic term for all types of whiskey and that includes bourbourn, irish whiskey and Scotch.

Scotch refers specifically to Scotch Whiskey or whiskey from Scotland. That is the basic difference,

It starts with W and S..
W-- cant drink neat,,,you have to mix soda cold drinks.
S-- can drink neat,,,

S is better in taste and smooth in nature,,
W is better in taste and smooth in nature when you drink the best quality,,

S is expensive than W.

MAINLY IT DEPENDS ON INDIVIDUAL TO INDIVIDUAL.

If there's no "e" in whisky, none. If it's "whiskey," a lot.
