Sweetest and best red wine?!

Question:

Sweetest and best red wine?

I never really tried wine but I really want to...I want to try a really really sweet red wine that doesn't cost much. I live in a small town so I was hoping it would be easy for me to get it from a place like wine & spirits....any recommendations???

Answers:
If you want a sweet wine, dessert wine is the way to go. Try Sandeman's Port, which costs about $12, or Messina Hof Port on Call, $10. Most varieties of Port can range from $8 to $150, depends on the vintage and producer. They are sweet and high alcohol content wine that's a good start.

water wheel Bendigo. Aussie wine.

Boones Farm Strawberry Hill! Very sweet. My first wine. Then was Boones Farm Tickle Pink. Both yummy and cheap.

In fact, I am personally aware of just one sweet red wine, period, and it's a little bit of a rarity: It's a Greek red called "Mavrodaphne," and it generally sells for about $5 to $6. You might ask a local wine shop about it.

Reunite or Kosher Manizevits Concord grape. Sorry about the spelling.

Kimberly River zinfandel.

I love Olive Garden's blush Portifino wine....I don't know if I spelled it right but it's so good. Unfortunally it's only sold at the restraurant, but it's so delicious.

zinfandel
