What mixes with.....?!

Question:

What mixes with.....?

Does anything mix with Ouzo? It tastes like Black Licorice. I can't think of anything. Its not too bad by itself, but I like mixed drinks better. Any suggestions?

Answers:
God, I hate ouzo. I tried to be polite when I was in Greece and bartenders would give me a free taste, but secretly I wanted to cry.

I never saw people mix it with anything there other than ice water. Maybe tonic or soda water would work then?

If you like ouzo though, you might want to try raki. It's Turkish, and almost the same as ouzo, but it's even stronger. Again, had to be polite there too. Yuck.

Ice water. That's about it. People try to make cocktails out of it, but I've never tasted a good one.

Hairy Armpit

1 shot Ouzo
Grapefruit Juice

try an Anise Rickey

1 jigger ouzo
juice of one lime
Club soda

Fill highball glass with ice. Squeeze in lime and add liqueur. Top with club soda and garnish with lime wedge.

also try mixed with a carbonated drink like sprite...its more delicate than straight ouzo

I've never had it, but when you say it tastes like black licorice, Jagermeister (sp) comes to mind. I mix that with Vanilla Coke or Pepsi Vanilla. The vanilla kind of smoothes the licorice taste out. Hope that helps.

I dont know but it sounds like it might go well with root beer or cream soda. Maybe a little milk, vanilla ice cream, in a blender.

I like Ouzo and rootbeer or Coke.

Working as a bartender, but never really made a drink with ouzo

Could be cuz we dont have it my home bar.

Altough, remember that i learned once that absinth, that as well tastes as liqurice could be mixed with sprite.

Name of drink : Kung Fu

Never herd of it but Jager is black liquorish liquor and I had a guy come into my bar from Yugoslavia and he would order Jager and OJ. Sounded and looked real bad but he ordered it all the time
