Is alcohol and caffeine a bad mix?!

Question:

Is alcohol and caffeine a bad mix?

what kind of alcohol can you put in coffee, if any?

Answers:
I don't think so. Whiskey, Irish Creme, Chcolate liquor, Creme de cocoa, Creme de menth.

Ummm you have irish coffee which is a type of coffee with rum or wisky added to it. Its not uncommon for caffeine to be added to a alcoholic beverage and so far as I know the only real side effect is the mixture gives a since of normalicy when your actually drunk, which is dangerous.

Kahlua is really nice in Coffee, Great pick me up.

Bailey's is also good, as are most liqueurs.

baileys or kahlula is the best in coffee

not at all . i mean rum and coke go down pretty well. i usually have a caffinated pop before drinkin anyways . it puts a little kick in the buzz

Yes, it depends on the alcohol. Just about any liqueur can be added to coffee with interesting effect: kahlua, amaretto, framboise, cheery herring, Irish mist (now, coffee-flavored liqueurs work but are a little redundant).

And yes, whisky works rather well, especially in Irish coffee.

Many cookbooks (including Joy of Cooking) will have recipes for cafe brulee, which generally is made by heating a small amount of brandy or similar liquor (a cezviler--one of those little long-handled things for making Greek or Turkish coffee--works well) along with a bit of sugar and perhaps a slice of lemon peel or other citrus, some brown spices (whole); then flaming the mix and pouring it into the cup of good coffee.

Its not a good mix... but its not so bad either unless.. u drink a lot of both
If by any chance u need to put alcohol in your coffee always try a more pure and dry one like "firewater" or similar

If your really crazy, whiskey! you cant taste it at all (just the coffee) as far as I know its not a bad idea ppl do it all the time (red bill and jager for instance) it'll make you crzy tho!!

It's a great mix and works with most liqueurs. My favorite is
imported Kirsch schnaps.
