How do you tell a person they are a acholic when they are in denial?!

Question:

How do you tell a person they are a acholic when they are in denial?

Answers:
Been there done that. I think the answer is you can but you can't. You can tell them until your blue in the face, but it won’t matter. They will only "hear" you if they want to. Don't waste your time. Just be there for the when they fall. Don't turn your back on them and always voice your opinion when asked

Maybe they aren't in denial, they just don't want your involvement.

Video tape them drunk and post it on youtube.

Worked for Hasselhoff.

The only way an alcoholic can get help is when he/she finally admits to it and asks for help. No one can convince an alcoholic that he/she needs help.

What is "a acolic"?

Do you mean AN Alcoholic?

Remember when using "A" before a word that begins with a vowel you change "a" to "an"

As to your question: You can tell the person you are worried, you can give them some literature and that's about it. Go to an Al-ANON meeting to get some help from others in your position.

Nothing you can say an alcoholic has to realize they have a problem.

How do you tell someone that they are an acholic?(you Don't)
Telling someone that they are an acholic will do them no good. that's something that they need to tell themself.
The importent thing, is that you know that they are an acholic.
Give them over to god, Be there when they are ready to do something about their Problem.

first of all it will do you no good to tell them they will only get angry with you they have to admit it on there own they are the only ones that can help themselves you or nobody else can do it for them when that person hits rock bottom they may look at themselves but it is nothing you can do until they ask for your help so the only thing you can do is Waite it could be weeks it could be years good luck you need it

you tell them
then let them find out for thyself
take care of yourself

Trust me the person knows. He just does not want to admit it.

They have to admit it to themselves. You can't do any thing.

hmm.. your friend need to do it herself i'm afraid. but if u think u need to step in, ask her what her actual worries was..

i was an alcoholic by the age of 21. I woke up every morning wanting nothing but my drinks. Then i had to travel extensively and i hardly have the time to continue the habit. It just went away. I drank because i have certain question on my mind which was left unanswered. So to make the question go away, i got myself drunk always. now i am free. I am no longer an addict to alcohol.
